1st Annual WISC Women’s Alumni Game

Don't miss out on being part of the
1st Annual West Islip Soccer Club Women’s Alumni Game.

We are looking for women who have played for the West Islip Soccer Club any time since the Club was formed, and are out of High School to play in the 1st WISC Women’s Alumni Game to be held over Thanksgiving weekend.
Help spread the word to all teammates, classmates, or sisters to come participate.

Referees Wanted

The West Islip Soccer Club is now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 soccer seasons.
The Referee Program is open to boys and girls who have reached their 12th birthday by August 1, 2010.
The Club referee program provides referees for our in house program, Inter-town program and Assistant Referee Program (Separate Certification Course required) in the LIJSL Travel Program.

If you are interested and are able to commit the time, please fill out the attached application.

Boys and and girls entering grades 1 - 8

August 2 - 5
9:00 AM - 11:30
Due to school construction dropp off/pick up at Manetuck Elementary

Session II
Boys and girls entering grades 9 -12
August 9 - August 12
8:30 AM - 12:00 (Noon)
Due to school construction dropp off/pick up at Manetuck Elementary

Registration Fee: $85.00 ($75 for each additional child in family)
($95.00 for registrants on day of camp)

Alexis Skye Pilkington Foundation

The West Islip Soccer Club is assisting Paula and Tom Pilkington in the creation of a Foundation in memory of their daughter Alexis Skye Pilkington.
Lexi was a stellar soccer player, fierce competitor and part of our West Islip Soccer Community for many years.

"When you think of Lexi or see geese flying overhead, hold your head up high and put a smile on your face; she always did that for us."
She will always be remembered in our hearts.

Achievements; Suffolk County Champions, Long Island Champions, NYS semi finalist, 2nd ranked AA school in the state, 45th ranked school in the nation. Not to bad for “Bleak and dreary”.
Congrats go out to the coaching staff and all the girls and especially the graduating seniors; Lindsay Aponte, Kate Brandt, Alex Camesas, Shannon Carroll, Ashley Howard, Codi-Lyn Johnson, Deanna Monfredo, Alexis Pilkington, Katie Rotan, Casey Sarle, Mikayla Walton, Erica Wysocki.

SOFA ... Score One For Africa

In June 2008 the West Islip Soccer Club began its involvement with New Hope Africa Children Ministries of Busia, Uganda
It started with just two boxes of uniforms and sports equipment and a little over six months later more than 30 boxes had been sent. Over the past 18 months your donations kept this effort going and have made a difference in the lives of several hundred needy children in Africa.

Recently the Soccer Club has been contacted by an organization in New York City that heard of our efforts and is looking for ways to help defray the cost of shipping.

The West Islip Soccer Club will be expanding this charity clothing initiative to Zambia. The first couple of boxes of donations to Zambia have already been sent.

ANY sports clothing ( not just soccer), equipment, cleats, socks, sneakers, shinguards etc can be dropped off on the front porch of 96 Udalia Court. (any day any time as this is a ongoing program).
